Toronto enters Sunday with the leverage of a potential sweep and the better recent offensive rhythm, while New York is trying to stop a three-game slide before it snowballs further in the AL race. That recent form keeps the Yankees live in a low-scoring game, especially with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. also unavailable for Toronto. Still, the Blue Jays have won four of their last five, took the first two games of this series by multiple runs, and have been finding enough timely offense and bullpen answers to capitalize on New York's current scoring drought.
