The Liberty Flames are looking to continue their unbeaten start to the 2024 season with a dominant performance against UTEP. Head coach Jamey Chadwell has quickly established a high-octane offense that has put up an average of 40 points per game so far this season. Quarterback Kaidon Salter has been a revelation for the Flames, throwing for 750 yards and eight touchdowns while limiting mistakes. Salter’s ability to extend plays with his legs and his deep connection with wide receivers Noah Frith and CJ Daniels, who have combined for over 400 receiving yards and five touchdowns, has been key to Liberty’s success. The ground game, led by Quinton Cooley, has also been effective, providing a balanced offensive attack that keeps defenses guessing. Cooley has rushed for 355 yards and five touchdowns, demonstrating his ability to break big plays and grind out tough yards. Liberty’s offensive line has done an excellent job protecting Salter and opening up running lanes, which will be critical against a UTEP defense that has shown vulnerability against the run. Defensively, Liberty has been strong, particularly in their secondary, where they have limited big plays and forced turnovers. The Flames have allowed just 17 points per game, thanks in large part to standout performances from defensive backs Robert Rahimi and Daijun Harvey.
